About Canadian Women Physicians Online Choir (CWPOC)

A virtual choir for Canadian women physicians—rooted in joy, connection, and song.

CWPOC began with a simple truth: we love to sing, and we live too far apart to do it in person.

We’re a group of Canadian women physicians who came together not in a concert hall, but across provinces and time zones—seeking community, creativity, and a break from the intense demands of our daily work. What started as a small gathering of voices quickly blossomed into a vibrant, welcoming online choir.

We are united by more than our profession. We’re connected by a shared belief in the power of music to soothe, restore, and uplift. Whether you're a seasoned chorister or someone who hasn’t sung in years, this is a space to show up just as you are.

Our Mission

To create a joyful, low-pressure, and inclusive space for Canadian women in medicine to sing together, reconnect with their creative selves, and build lasting community—no matter where they live or how full their schedules may be.
